For the maintenance of staircase floors, choose an ergonomic professional tool
The world of cleaning is increasingly moving towards efficiency – how to pick up as much dirt as you can at one go while ensuring the cleaning tool itself is easy to clean. You can’t clean with an untidy tool! Choose the correct tool based on your floor covering. For example, smooth staircase floors are much easier to clean than structured surfaces with safety covering. There are special mops for cleaning specialised floor covering that simplify the difficult task.
A high-quality doormat keeps the dirt out and the floors of the apartments clean. Again, when selecting a doormat, think about your actual requirements, for example – do people keep their bikes and prams in the hallway and once a doormat is installed, will it be easy to clean?
Quality- and safety-checked cleaning products
Professional cleaning products come with precise dosage and usage instructions and are safe for the building residents. The most popular modern cleaning tool material is microfibre. If cleaning is done regularly and there is not much dirt, you can use a microfibre cloth with just clean water. During periods with more dirt, such as the pollination or street salting period, make sure to use seasonal recommended cleaning products.
Window-cleaning
The right tools make window-cleaning easy and ensure shiny and stripeless glass surfaces. One of the most important tools is a squeegee with a soft elastic rubber and it is important that the rubber is changeable. That way, you don’t have to exchange the whole tool and can only change the rubber. It is convenient to wash windows with an ergonomic and light window washer to which you can attach a microfibre plush. Pick a bucket that fits the entire window washer to store the tools and rinse the washer. This saves time because you won’t have to remove the plush for each rinse. A window-cleaning kit should also include special glass towels to finish the corners of windows and/or remove any stripes. You need a telescopic rod for the ergonomic washing of higher windows.
During the virus season, clean touch surfaces regularly
The touch surfaces of all public areas, such as door handles, handrails and mailboxes, must be cleaned regularly. First wash the surfaces with a clean cloth and cleaning agent and only then use a disinfectant. It is important to use disinfectant only on clean surfaces because disinfectant alone will not remove the virus particles.
