Miele Professional laundry machines in a new project SHED Riga

In cooperation with new apartment project SHED Riga we have implemented amazing project where Miele Professional washing machines and dryers are used and payments done through appWash app. We went to visit Sanda Ļisova who is the manager of the project in Riga to find out more about this unique project.

Could you please tell us more about SHED Riga and how this project differs from a regular multi-storey residential building?

‘’SHED Riga is a new apartment project where residents can not only enjoy the benefits a well equiped studio type apartment, but also spend time together in a modern chill out and entertainment areas furnished with taste. The building has a gym as well as residents can use a laundry room. All studio type apartments are fully equiped with stove, cooker hood, fridge and spacious wardrobe. SHED Riga project is mainly intended for students and young professionals who can thanks to unique features of the project work together, socialize and exchange experience. We know cases where students have managed to find a place of practise just by communication with more experienced young professionals who have settled in their work places and can provide with some advice. Sharing common areas with professionals from various industries, students get inspiration and additional motivation’’, shares with enthusiasm Sanda Ļisova.

Why did you choose not to install laundry machines in each apartment?

Laundry service and a possibility to wash their clothes or bed linen is very important for every resident. It is important for us that residents have more living area and drying rack takes an extra space. Besides laundry drying can create extra humidity in the apartment. There are four Miele professional washing machines and four dryers in our laundry room. Laundry room is a place where residents spend time together, find new friends and help each other with appWash app, Miele washing machine or dryer usage.

When did you open?

1st of September was the opening day and it was a big challenge for all of us. Although information about laundry machine usage was placed in a visible place, we had a lot of questions about usage. Laundry room gives a lot of added value to this project and it gives a possibility for residents to keep their apartments tidy and enjoy full service provided by us. There is no laundry service in the closest neighbourhood which residents can use to wash all they need. Also this project is not comparable to any other project available in Latvia at the moment.

Why did you choose Miele professional washing machines and dryers?

Project is unique, so we wanted to choose the highest quality product available in the market – Miele and german quality was our choice. As Profiks Clean is Miele Professional official dealer in Latvia, we contacted Profiks Clean.

How often washing machines are used?

Washing machines are used nonstop. We receive usage reports and we see that machines keep working even at nights. Washing machine users are using appWash app and if necessary they contact appWash service. Dryers are used a bit less. We are cleaning the washing machines ourselves according to Profiks Clean instructions – we clean filters and containers for detergents on a regular basis. When machines are cleaned and well taken care of, they work without any problems. I can say best feedback about Ansis and Jurģis who installed machines and consulted about usage.
