Why protect your floor with Kiehl floor polish?

Kiehl floor polish

Why protect your floor with Kiehl floor polish?

Rooms with a high amount of footfall are often covered in natural linoleum or PVC floor covering, and they are given a protective polishing. If floors are well-polished yearly, it makes for easy daily maintenance and floors stay beautiful for a long time.

It is not good to lay on too many layers of polish. For example, ten layers of polish are significantly more difficult to remove than four. In addition to new layers of polish, a beautiful and maintained result is ensured also by a quality removal of the old polish and other groundwork.

Kiehl Group is Germany’s leading chemistry Industry, developing countless cleaning agents, floor polishes, and other floor-protecting substances for over a hundred years. Kiehl Group’s development team has a tight cooperation with their clients, as feedback on the effect of the substances and polish helps create even better and more reliable solutions. Kiehl’s long-term experience and tried and tested floor polishes ensure that the polish stays put and protects floors.

Kiehl Thermodur metallic shiny and matte polish

Kiehl Thermodur metallic polish is a polish with very good coverage, wear-resistant properties, wonderful shine, and high solids content. Metallic polish leaves a slip-proof, dirt-resistant, and easily maintainable protective layer and is resilient even to disinfectants. Metallic polish is suitable for all water-resistant floor covering materials (PVC, polyolefine, linoleum, absorbent natural and artificial stones, etc.) and is available in both shiny and matte (Thermodur-Satina).

Based on clients’ feedback we can share that the polishes by Thermodur and Thermodur-Satina are very easy and comfortable to lay down compared to other polishes available on the Estonian market. The result is good even if it is carried out by someone with not that much experience.

Kiehl Thermohospital floor polish

Kiehl Thermohospital floor polish is also metallic, but is especially resilient to disinfectants and alcohol, and is good for facilities where hand disinfectants are often used. Even when the hand disinfectant damages the polish layer on the floor a bit, there are no stains left behind on a floor covered with Thermohospital floor polish. As you would guess by the name, Thermohospital is suitable for hospitals, care homes, kindergartens, and sanatoriums.

When it comes to polyurethane or polythene floor coverings, the attachment of the product on the floor covering material should be tested on a small inconspicuous spot before covering the whole floor. After removing the previous layer of polish, 2-3 layers of metallic polish are laid on the floor surface undiluted. Be sure to let the floor dry between every polish layer.

Thermodur-Diamant – acrylic polish with a solids content

Thermodur-Diamant has a 3-dimensional special polymer composition, which makes it a floor polish that is highly resistant to wear and scratches and is thus fitting for rooms with a high amount of footfall. Thanks to a high level of synthetic substances and innovative raw materials, even the eldest and worn floor covering materials become dirt-resistant with only two layers of polish, and everyday cleaning becomes far more economic. With newer and not very porous floor covering materials, that same effect is achieved with just one layer of polish. Thanks to the special composition, the first layer of polish can be laid on after a short drying period. Thermodur-Diamant is very resistant to both surface and hand disinfectant products.

Thermodur-Diamant floor polish is removed only by professional polish removal and the polish is removed by polish removals including solvents. The total drying time of the polish lengthens significantly with 2 or more layers. In that case, you should only use a dry sweeping cleaning method for 48 hours.

You will need many different tools and the right technique for polishing. Naturally, you will find all agents, accessories, and machines for removing old polish all from Profiks. Our experienced specialists will give you advice even when you are dealing with a significantly worn floor or a more difficult object.
