Strong scents may diffuse the concentration of the students and cause several health issues, including asthma and allergic reactions. The safest option is to use clean water and microfibre textiles, if you need to perform more thorough cleaning operations, though, always prefer cleaning agents with an ecolabel. If you use cleaning agents, never apply them on the surface cleaned, but spray a small amount on the cleaning towel and then clean the surfaces.

A good option for cleaning hard-to-reach surfaces, such as shelves and the area behind radiators is the Vikan interior mop holder with the Vikan microfibre interior mop. When used dry, microfibres use static electricity to collect dust, dirt, and hair. When damp, a microfibre mop is also good for removing dirt and grease. In order to work more ergonomically and clean surfaces which are higher above the ground, we advise to add a telescopic arm to the interior mop.

For ergonomic and faster cleaning of large surfaces, use a Vikan velcro mop frame, which can be equipped with different mops to clean the blackboard, glass and mirrors, or desks, benches, and windowsills.

Removing chewing gum and pencil stains

School desks are often covered with hard-to-remove stains, such as glue, pencil, waterproof marker, or felt-tip pen stains. The Kiehl Tablefit plastic and desk cleaner spray will help, removing such stains efficiently and provide simple and fast solutions to even seemingly hopeless situations. Simply spray the Kiehl Tablefit plastic and desk cleaner on a cleaning cloth, remove the dirt, and dry the surface. Another great product for cleaning classrooms is the Kiehl Procur special maintenance cleaner. Kiehl Procur facilitates considerably removal of chewing gum, tape, or glue stains, as well as dark shoe streaks from different surfaces. We also recommend to use the product in the undiluted form to cover the surfaces where the students often stick chewing gums, such as chairs and tables, as Kiehl Procur prevents chewing gum from adhering to the surface and it will simply fall off. If you have also cleaned the floor with the Kiehl Procur special maintenance cleaner, the chewing gum will not stick to the floor either and you can sweep it up with a brush and dustpan. Please note that on each fifth occasion, you should clean the surfaces with another general cleaning product to prevent stratification of Kiehl Procur.

The Kiilto Freeze chewing gum remover makes it easy to remove chewing gum from textile surfaces, such as carpets and soft furniture. Use the narrow tube which comes with the bottle to spray the product directly on the gum and remove the frozen chewing gum without damaging the surface, for example with the help of a scraper.

Cleaning and maintenance of floors at school is time-consuming, as the surfaces which require daily cleaning are usually very large. For faster and more efficient floor maintenance, we advise to use high-quality scrubbing and maintenance machines which will make your floors spotlessly clean faster and with considerably less work.

How to ensure non-slippery floors in gyms and corridors?

Shoes bring a large amount of dirt, moisture, and dust into the school building, but did you know that floor mats and entrance carpets prevent up to 80% of dirt from entering the building? Therefore, we advise to place a proper and high-quality floor mat at every entrance to the building. The mat will catch most of the dirt. Add an entrance carpet which is good at collecting moisture and keeps the floors clean in the entire building. Floor mats also make floors less slippery and protect the floors. In an ideal case, six steps of the floor in front of all entrances should be covered with floor mats and entrance carpets.

Cleaning sanitary rooms

Toilets are used by numerous people over the day and as there is also bacterial contamination, it is very important to clean these rooms every day and knowledgeably. Otherwise, unpleasant odours will spread and it will be difficult to clean surfaces of stuck dirt later.
